Nelson Service Group, Inc. is based on a twelve acre site located on the banks of the Tennessee River, near the Port of Florence in Alabama.  We are situated in such a way that we can receive shipments by truck, rail, or barge.  Our blast and paint yard operation and two overhead cranes enable us to turn out large structural steel and pipe jobs with relative ease.  Our paint facilities are also heated to provide quick turn-around on projects during cold weather.

 

We have facilities for receiving bulk abrasives by rail or truck for storage and speedy disbursement.  Along with bulk abrasives, we inventory different types of bagged abrasives for those special blast cleaning job requirements.

At Nelson Service Group, our equipment is an important asset - one that sets us apart from our competition.  Without good equipment, we would just be another painting contractor.  We are much more - we are a one-stop, turn-key contractor for:

We have the best and most efficient equipment available in the industry, backing our workmen allowing them to perform safely, productively while maintaining quality.
We maintain hundreds of tools and specialty equipment, ranging from small hand tools to compressors, air movers, hydro-blasters up to 40K, a Guzzler vacuum truck, forklifts, heaters, etc.  We maintain a fleet of over 50 vehicles ranging from pickup trucks to tractor trailers.  Our shop facilities are equipped with overhead cranes, allowing us to apply coatings with ease to large quantities of structural steel and piping.
